It’s hard to miss Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. The beautiful 5 star resort can be seen from miles and is not only one of the most impressive resorts in the world, but also one of Singapore’s most famous attractions.
The 55- story hotel has three towers and the hotel is connected to the Gardens by the Bay via a bridge and even has its own subway stop- making it the perfect base to discover Singapore from. In case you ever want to leave this amazing resort, that is.
The resort also includes the big “The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sand mall”, the world’s largest atrium casino (with about 1600 slot machines), a convention- exhibition center and two theaters.
One thing is for sure: it’s impossible to get bored at Marina Bay Sands.
My experience
We stayed at Marina Bay Sands for three nights in one of their Club Rooms on the 54th floor, which was an unforgettable experience in itself.
As club room guests you get certain “VIP privileges” like exclusive entry to Club55, breakfast in one of the many restaurants in the resort. But my favourite part: A complimentary afternoon tea& evening snacks (which felt more like a dinner) inclusive alcoholic beverages.
I absolutely love afternoon teas! The ones at Marina Bay came with a spectacular view which made it all the better.
Our room faced the skyline of Singapore and gave us a beautiful view of the SPECTRA Light & Water Show that is displayed twice every evening. The show can also be watched from the SkyPark or of course, from the ground at the promenade.
We also had access to the Infinity Pool and the SkyPark.

The food
I loved the breakfast! Nothing can beat having breakfast on a rooftop on a sunny morning, overlooking the skyline and the infinity pool at Marina Bay Sands.
Although we were told the breakfast options were better at the exclusive Club55, we preferred to enjoy sun and a fresh breeze while we ate our breakfast.
Of course that meant that the rooftop terrace restaurant was much busier than Club55- but which hotel buffets aren’t to be honest.
Apart from traditional Malaysian and Chinese breakfast (or rather lunch?) options there was also a large selection of fruits, baked goods and European dishes. Everything was freshly prepared and got refilled quickly whenever something ran out. marina bay sands’ infinity pool
Club55
As the name might give away, Club55 is located on the 55th floor and, as mentioned before, exclusive to guests who paid for the club package.
The complimentary afternoon tea includes a buffet of gourmet canapes, fruits and a selection of sweets and cakes.
Club55 is most famous for its extensive cheese and chocolate selection though!
Fresh juices, sodas and (in the evening) even alcoholic beverages are included in the package, too. The alcoholic options range from different red- and white wines to expensive Champagne, Cognacs and beers.
Even though the restaurant can fill up quickly, the staff is very attentive and extremely friendly. We always got seated after a short wait and enjoyed our meals to the fullest.
Altogether Marina Bay Sands boasts 37 wonderful restaurants by top chefs like David Myers, Gordon Ramsay, Justin Quek and many more.
The Infinity Pool
Is it worth it?

One of the most amazing features of the hotel is the breathtakingly beautiful infinity pool- and the whole of the Skypark around it. The Skypark features several restaurants, a bar, a club and palm trees all over which will give you the perfect holiday feeling!
Marina Bay’s Infinity pool is the largest and highest one in the world and you can be sure to have the most amazing view of Singapore from up there.
Experiencing the infinity pool was the HIGHLIGHT of my Singapore trip. The whole of Marina Bay is special but the infinity pool is definitely my favourite part of the resort.
Marina Bay Sands should be on everyone’s bucket list in my opinion.
Marina Bay Sands pool access.
Keep one thing in mind though, if you want to enjoy a swim in the pool or take the perfect selfie overlooking the skyscape of Singapore: Only guests have access to the pool.
That hasn’t always been the case but now it’s impossible to get access to the pool without having to scan your room key card several time at the “security checkpoints”, unfortunately.
On top of that there are always a couple of watchful employees that keep an eye out for anyone trying to sneak in.
The reason non-guests aren’t allowed in anymore is pretty simple though. The resort has 2561 rooms so even with no “outsiders” accessing the pool, the place can get crowded quick.
Personally, we didn’t have any problems with crowds during our stay. We were even lucky enough to encounter the pool almost empty a few time.
So would I say the hype around the Marina Bay Sands infinity pool is justified?
Definitely. Yes, yes and yes!
Photo Tip: Catch the sunset
If you want a good photo without too many people in your way or the background I recommend to get to the pool at around 6am (opening times). The light during sunset and sunrise is better anyway and I can guarantee that the pool will be mostly empty for at least half an hour after it opens

Not staying in the hotel but want to enjoy the view?
As mentioned before, only guests have access to the infinity pool which can be a bit of a downer if you don’t want or can’t spend all that money on a hotel room.
But hey, you can still enjoy the view from the rooftop of the Marina Bay Sands aka SkyPark. For around 10£ you get access to the park, its gardens, restaurants and amazing 360 degree view of Singapore.
Of course all the restaurants are also open for the public, all you need to do is make a reservation to avoid disappointment as the tables are popular, especially during sunset!
